Alteeve recently co-exhibited at Open Source Summit in Los Angeles with LINBIT, the de-facto industry standard in open-source software for High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and Software-Defined Storage (SDS).   Together, the companies were able to demonstrate an HA virtualization solution with over 99.9999% (six nines) uptime, a significant achievement that dramatically reduces cost and complexity for mission-critical Enterprise IT deployments.

Alteeve’s Anvil! represents the next evolution of High Availability.  We call this Intelligent Availability® and we demonstrated it for conference attendees.   Intelligent Availability®  automates/simplifies system administration, delivers unprecedented levels of uptime and – best of all – lowers costs. It’s ideal for applications at edge of network.  Attendees saw this as a “game changer”, especially considering the trend towards moving services towards the next work edge into Micro Data Centers (MDC).  The Anvil! was seen as the perfect fit considering that it is able to operate autonomously in an environment where there typically are few or no skilled IT personnel to do system administration work.  The Anvil’s built-in intelligence also allows it to perform predictive failure analysis and proactive fault mitigation.  This allows risks to be mitigated that otherwise could have taken the system offline.

The conference also allowed our development team to hear the ‘Voice of Customer” and to receive valuable feedback on key parts of the Anvil’s feature set which will be considered as part of the future product development roadmap.

The Open Source Community have long been strong advocate’s of our Anvil! product and we are already planning our next event with this community!
